We are very excited to announce that our closing keynote talk will be delivered by Dr Irving Finkel (The British Museum). The talk is entitled, 'Risk, Deluge, and Aftermath'.
Abstract:
This paper will consider the social and psychological effects of living in dependency on water between the rivers without full control, and suggest how the famous literary compositions with their Hollywood drama and adventure reveal unchanging folk memory and never-to-be assuaged apprehension about the future.
